Chinese school ‘safety’

This was a science show at my kindergarten for the monthly birthday party.

That’s a bucket of dry ice. Not pictured is when half the school rushed the ‘host’ holding the bucket.

And we’re told not to take our kids to the playground when it’s wet. Not raining, just wet. Because someone might fall down…on rubber turf. But unleashing an open bucket of burning dry ice to excitable kids 2-6 yrs old with no warning is perfectly acceptable.

Add this to my long long list of why I’m very happy to leave China in 109 days.

Hardest working man in show biz

I saw this street musician playing guitar AND singing AND doing a head stand. Oh AND in the rain. And I had just left a company party solo gig near People’s Square, singing 3 songs at the rate of about $75 a piece and pouting about my heels and wanting dinner. Spoiled.

Or whatever!

Well we guess since everyone’s upset about our “carbon emissions” and “poor air quality”
